Automobiles in German Town Found Marked with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Authorities reported they were alerted by a man who noticed a vehicle in Hanau covered with reddish fluid

Roughly 50 vehicles have been marked with what appears to be human blood in the Germany's town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Vehicles, exterior walls and postal boxes were defaced, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they reported in a official communication.

Law enforcement say they were alerted late on Wednesday evening, when a man observed that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued fluid.

The liquid had been applied in the shape of a banned symbol, they stated.

Law enforcement then discovered many other vandalized cars and residential walls in the nearby vicinity.

These symbols are illegal in Germany under laws outlawing the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.

Law enforcement report early analysis suggest the liquid was probably human blood.

"At present there remains no indication as to its source; investigators are presently not informed of any injuries in relation with the incident," they added.

Municipal representatives said they were working "to resolve the mystery" and have requested to the residents for details.

A senior political figure said the attack made him speechless and had to be addressed rapidly.

"This act hits the very heart of Hanau and revives the wounds of the far-right attack in 2020," he wrote on a platform, referring to the murder of nine victims by a gunman aiming at people of immigrant origin in February 2020.
